Mission

The Covenant Academies Foundation (CAF) serves to prevent youth homelessness and youth incarceration by providing educational opportunities and other services, including residential, to dropout, homeless, at-risk and disenfranchised youth. We focus on retention, progress and graduation. Through access to education, support services and community partnerships, the Covenant Academies Foundation offers unconditional love and absolute respect to our most vulnerable youth.

What Makes us Different Makes us Necessary

The CAF serves dropout youth; those young adults who are off of the educational radar screen – the unknowns.

The CAF makes the unknowns known. We offer a chance for continued education, improved self-worth, enhanced employability, and a traditional high school diploma.

The CAF offers a family-oriented learning environment exhibiting patience, understanding, encouragement, and caring.

The CAF schools operate year-round; two four-hour sessions a day; have one staff member for every 14 students enrolled; provide individual counseling; and has no grade-level cohorts.

The CAF works closely with community organizations for their support and input.

The CAF fosters strong relationships with civic and business leaders who understand and support the need for a better-educated and trainable workforce.

The CAF trains teachers to be parents/teachers. We hire staff from the community who fully understand that their charge is to build trust with students, provide love, hope and an individual support system for those who have never had one.
